My dog's skin and nipples turned black after her spay. Is it normal?

My dogs pigment on her belly and legs has changed from a light pink to a dark colour. Is this a cause of concern? Her nipples have gone black. We noticed it happening not long after her spay. She’s 2 ish (we don’t fully know her age as she’s a rescuer). Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 46 lbs

Changes in skin color to a black pigment are often due to hyperpigmentation, which occurs secondary to chronic inflammation or irritation. The most common cause of this would be allergies (or atopy).
