Pet's info: Small Animal | Mouse | Male | unneutered | 0.3 lbs
Hey, I have a pet mouse. He's about 9-10 months old, and he's got an eye problem. It doesnt seem to hurt him, or bother him at all. He is eating normally, sleeping normally, playing normally, but it looks bad. His eye appears to be growing a fungus of some kind. Two brown stalks are spawning from his left eye, which is now bulging out of his head and clouded. He doesnt scratch at it at all, or really pay any mind to it. I honestly have no idea what im looking at. Please help.

Thanks for reaching out about Darwin and including a photo. A concern would be a trauma to the eye, and a corneal rupture. This can likely become infected and should be assessed by a veterinarian as soon as possible. Once the infection gets into the eye, it is a very short distance to the brain, 1-2 mm. Good luck.
