My dog is Pomeranian can I can give it dates to eat
Dates are not poisonous for dogs, but the pits can be very dangerous for dogs, so I would never recommend giving an entire date. The other concern with dates is that they are very high in sugar and fiber, so you need to be careful how much you give a small dog like a Pomeranian. Hello there! Luckily, most fruits vegetables are quite healthy for our pets. Here are some you want to avoid: Avocado Onion Garlic Chives Apple cores and seeds (apple slices are ok) The green parts of a tomato (red parts are ok) Cherries (seeds, leaves, and stems are toxic) Apricots (seeds, leaves, and stems are toxic) Grapes and raisins Wild mushrooms (grocery store mushrooms are ok) Currants Green potatoes (cooked, ripe potatoes are ok) Rhubarb I find that many dogs like baby carrots, green beans, and peeled apple slices. Is it okay to feed my dog "people" food?
Ideally, a high-quality commercially-prepared diet should make up 90% of a dog’s diet, with nutritious treats making up no more than that last 10%. In these cases, the recipe for the home cooked food must be carefully balanced to account for any lacking nutrients, and are best formulated by specialists in veterinary nutrition. However, occasional treats of people foods, such as boiled white meat chicken, cooked sweet potatoes, turkey, green beans, or carrots are perfectly fine!

Grain free is more hype than science... so it is no necessary to start or worry about tag. Raw diets are not safe as dogs are susceptible of bacterial infections such as salmonella and E. coli like we are, and even you can get it from handling the food...not worth the risk to anyone. Purina, royal canin, and science diet have the most research behind their products for both ingredients and safety. Your new puppy will need to be on a small bites puppy forumla due to his size. Any food within those brands is good quality. They do have some natural formulas for you to choose from also

The best food to feed Bentley is a high quality puppy formulated food such as Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, or Purina ProPlan. That's all he needs to be healthy. Yes, homemade treats are fine. There are plenty of recipes you can find online on how to make homemade treats. All the ingredients you list are OK and there are MANY more. Just google some homemade treat recipes for dogs and go from there. Just be sure you are not feeding too many calories. A lot of treats are not good especially for small breed dogs. It's okay to give small amounts of table food as an occasional treat if you wish - many owners do this, and I do it with my dogs as well :) Just stick to fairly healthy foods like carrots, green beans, or small bites of lean meat (roast beef, chicken, turkey, etc.) Avoid anything greasy or fatty, since these can cause stomach upset in many dogs. You should also avoid onions, chocolate, grapes and raisins, as these foods are toxic to dogs.
