My newborn kitten is sneezing and breathing weirdly. What should I do?

Hi, my cat gave birth 9 days ago to 5 kittens. One of them is sneezing and seems to breath weird in his sleep, like he has a growling hiccup .He eats well, but I am really worried about the other thing.Whay should I do?

Congrats on the new kittens! It could be this kitten has a respiratory infection. All newborn kittens should be checked out by a vet to make sure they are doing well, so I would take Tokyo and her kittens into a vet today for a health check.

Sneezing can be a sign of an upper respiratory tract infection. You will need to estimate his genital region after he eats to help him urinate and defecate. A mother cat would do this after nursing. 3month old kitten sneezing, breathing withouth open, breathing sounds like someone snoring and you wake them up fast and they make funny throat sound. Best way to describe it
Unfortunately kittens are susceptible to many viruses that infect the respiratory tract and can cause noise, running eyes and noses and general ill health. There is little to do for a virus aside from administering antinflammatories which you would need to have prescribed by a vet. However I would recommend taking the kitten in for an exam as the viruses can make way for bacterial infection and the vet can give antibiotics if needed. In the mean time keep the kitten in stress and draught free environment.

This kitten may have an upper respiratory tract infection, pneumonia, or a congenital birth defect affecting its mouth/palate area. If you have access to a veterinarian it'd be best to examine this kitten and consider testing for infectious diseases that are very contagious to other cats.

Congrats on your new cat! Andromeda could be suffering from a respiratory infection, which are commonly caused by viruses in cats. He could also have an infection in his eye causing it to squint and have discharge. I would take him into the vet tomorrow morning for an exam. He may benefit from some medications, such as an antibiotic eye ointment, to help with his symptoms. In the meantime, you can try some home remedies to see if that helps him. First, you can try starting him on an L-lysine supplement - this is an amino acid that has been shown to help the immune system fight off respiratory infections more effectively. Enisyl and Viralys are both good brands, and can be purchased over the counter without a prescription - just follow the dosing instructions on the label based on your cat's weight. If he's congested, you can also try using a humidifier or bringing her into the bathroom with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity help to break up cong

Congrats on your new kitten, Gilligan is so adorable!! If his breathing is heavier only when he's asleep, it could be in reaction to dreams. I'd keep his appointment in two weeks for now, but if you notice he's breathing heavier when awake, he develops a snotty nasal discharge, there is a discharge from his eyes, he starts coughing, becomes lethargic, and/or his appetite decreases, then I would take him into the vet sooner. My 5 week old kitten has been sneezing non stop for the last 2 days?? Should I be worried?
Sneezing can be a sign of a respiratory infection in a young cat, or allergies, but also a foreign body in the nasal passages. If your kitten's sneezing hasn't improved by tomorrow, I would recommend calling your vet when they open tomorrow for an exam. They can try to look into her nostrils to be sure there isn't a small foreign body causing irritation, and give her medication if needed to treat infection or decrease inflammation in the nasal passages. Tonight you can try putting her into a bathroom while you run a steamy shower fpr 10 or 15 minutes and see if that provides any improvement.

I have 4 two week old kittens that are sneezing and their third eyelids are showing in the corners. They seem fine otherwise no mucous or discharge.
They may be starting with an upper respiratory infection. If they seem fine otherwise, you can monitor them and see if the condition progresses. If they stop eating, become febrile, are lethargic, have nasal or ocular discharge, or any problems breathing than they need to be treated by a vet. They might need an antibiotic or other medications to help clear the infection.

Kitty cold or just dust? We just got two kittens yesterday. One sneezed once in awhile but the other is sneezing more often. There's no lethargy, or loss is eating. The only symptom seems to be sneezing that we can tell right now. We got s new couch
I would just monitor them for now. You can also keep them out of the room with the couch for a few days while airing out the room. Most likely they have a mild upper respiratory infection which is common in kittens. As long as they are eating and playing they will recover with out treatment. Should i put my kttens that always sneeze in Cage?
You should have them examined by a veterinarian to diagnose and treat a possible respiratory infection. If it is viral in nature, it will have to run its course, but antibiotics may prevent secondary infection. Keep them warm and as stress free as possible. Make sure they continue to eat normally and stay hydrated. if there is nasal discharge, use a warm washcloth to keep the nose(s) clean and clear.

Sneezing is usually a sign of an upper respiratory infection - this is a very common problem in kittens. Because Tiger is so young, I would definitely recommend having him seen by a vet for this issue as soon as you are able to - he should be started on antibiotics to treat the infection and help prevent him from developing more serious problems, such as pneumonia.
