My dog has parvovirus and was prescribed antibiotics and fluid to keep him hydrated, he was given a subcutaneous shot of antibiotics and an intramuscular one yesterday on the afternoon, we were told to provide the shot again at home but we were afraid of the intramuscular shot, is it to dangerous to skip that shot for 6 hrs after it was supposed to be applied? , that is so we can have the vet apply that shot correctly and avoid hurting my dog

I am so sorry that your puppy has parvovirus. If you don't feel comfortable administering the shot that is ok. You can certainly wait the 6 hrs and have your vet do this later today. This is understandable. Then discuss with your vet about an alternative route (by mouth) or just going in to have the vet administer it daily. I do hope that Bruno is able to overcome this virus and makes a full recovery soon. Best wishes and take care.
