Why is my dog not eating? Could my WFH routine or stress be why?

Good morning. My dog, Apollo, has not been eating normally. It takes a lot of encouragement from my husband and I to have him eat. Sometimes he still chooses not to eat. The food & treats are the same as he's used to. The only change has been due to covid 19. I have been working from home now and I'm wondering if this could be throwing him for a loop. I'm also wondering if he can feel my sense of unease and stress due to the events in the world right now. Any tips or advice? Thanks. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 8 months old | 86 lbs

Hello. Certainly animals can be quite in tune with what is going on around them, especially some dogs that are sensitive. Changes in routine & emotions can definitely play a part. It does not hurt to speak with your veterinarian about this, as they know Apollo's health best, but if he is otherwise acting fairly normal, & just seems a bit off o his appetite, you can monitor things for awhile. If he completely stops eating all food & treats, or develops any vomiting or diarrhea, please have him evaluated as soon as possible.
