Is it safe to use NexGard, Seresto, and Advantage for my pets' fleas?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered

I treated this house I moved into for a flea infestation today and I’m trying to knock the problem on the head quickly as my cat and dog now have fleas. Is it safe to use nex guard and seresto collar on my dog? As well as a seresto collar and advantage on my cat? Thank you. It’s 2am here, had the house professionally sprayed today but still seeing fleas, even on me! HELP

Yes, both products are safe to use together. In addition to the pesticide that was sprayed, the yard also needs to be treated. You should also vacuum daily. The vibrations attract the fleas. Then discard the vacuum bag each day so the fleas don't crawl back out. You will have to do this for a month or so as every day there will be thousands of fleas that hatch from the eggs. Make sure to also vacuum under couches, beds, etc as the fleas like to take cover when they are breeding and laying eggs.
