Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 60 lbs

My dog poops in the house almost every night. We change his feeding schedule we try a lot of things. We usually let him out for a while and when he comes back inside. My dad get really mad at him and I don’t know what to do, He is a German Shepard he is 4 years old. We thing he came from bad owners.

If he is defecating in the house, he needs to be crate trained, or walked outside long enough that he defecates before bed. Crate training is important to establish housetraining. I would start researching training methods or reach out to a trainer.
