My outdoor cat has a bloody, swollen ear with a lump. What to do?

Hello, There is an outside cat that I feed very regularly. Recently I’ve noticed that one of his ears is scratched and bloody (on the inside). I felt around a little and discovered a large mass/bump under the ear. He shakes his head quite a lot too. In the pictures you can see how that one side is poofy and I tried to circle where I feel a mass. I hope you can offer some advice. Thank you.

That looks like it may be a hematoma or a wound that has become infected (very common in outdoor cats). Unfortunately, it needs to be seen by a vet in person so it can be clipped away and the area cleaned/antibiotics given as needed. If you are unable to catch him and bring him in yourself, you may see if your local humane society or animal control can come out to humanely trap him so he can be brought in fore care.
