Why is my dogs throw up a dark brown colour. It's a coffee like colour. She started throwing up 2 days ago, which seemed like blood. We have her a pill and she was fine yesterday, but today she is throwing up this dark colour. I am quite worried.

That is extremely concerning. Coffee ground colored vomit or stool could indicate a bleed in the GI tract or stomach. If Lucy has been vomiting like this for several days, it is best to seek out care from your vet or an emergency clinic right away.

Being sick is never really normal, dark brown could be a sign of bleeding from the stomach (unless she ate something of this color. I would advise withholding food for 12 hours, if the vomiting occurs again- take Poppy to the vet to get treatment.

It sounds as Alie is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Hi there. I would recommend taking your dog to the emergency vet clinic as soon as possible. It sounds like she’s extremely sick and needs x-rays and bloodwork and also probably to be started on intravenous fluids because she will become dehydrated quickly. Dogs that are vomiting and also have diarrhea usually need medications to stop their symptoms so they can start holding down food again. Your dog could have been infected by a virus or bacteria but she does need to be seen as soon as possible. Best to you and Luna.
