My dog licked paw balm. Could it cause resin-like poop and lethargy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi, My husky hurt his paw so I put Espree Paw Balm on his paw and Im guessing he licked it because he pooped out what looked like resin. The ingredients in the Paw Balm are lanolin, bees wax, carnauba, sweet almond oil, aloe oil, lemon peel oil, vitamin E, comfrey extract, arnica. Now hes okay but laying around a bit more than normal. I added pictures of the resin like stuff from his poop. When I squeeze it is hard but I can scrape it if I scrape hard. Thank you!

He would have to eat a lot of balm to cause something like this! And even then, I wouldn't expect it to be this shape. I suspect this is something from the environment that he at and did not digest and then passed out.
