Are vet techs qualified to give medication dosage advice for my dog?

Are technicians qualified to answer questions or give advice regarding dosage of the medications? The vet office I take my dog to has technicians call me to follow up, and they tend to give out advice on something like the dosage on the medication or what to do for medical conditions. I'm not sure how much they consult with the actual doctor before they give out these advice. Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 25 lbs

Usually they have spoken to the vet prior to giving out the information. If you are not comfortable with that, just let your vet know and ask them to please be the one to call you personally with any information that needs to be relayed.
