My female cat has clear sticky discharge, not in heat. What is it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 10 years old | 8 lbs

What does it mean if a female cat, who is not in heat has sticky goo coming out of her vaginal area. (She has peed). It seems to be clear in nature

If you are certain that Clowny is not pregnant then it could be discharge related to vaginitis, or inflammation/infection of the vagina. it might also be a sign of a uterine or urinary tract infection. I'd recommend seeing your veterinarian for them to examine Clowny if this discharge continues.
