Is it safe to buy Revolution online to save money, skipping the vet?

My vet wants me to book an appointment to get revolution. I can't afford the vet appointment and the revolution treatment. I found an 8 pack online from canadavet.com for $150.00 CAD. Is there anything particularly unsafe about me skipping the vet and buying revolution myself online? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 6 years and 10 months old | 12.9 lbs

Hello. This is a prescription medication in the US, but if you can get it without a script in Canada, then it should be allowable.
