Why does my puppy sleep so much? Is it normal or a sign of illness?

my puppy sleeps a lot is it ok or he is ill

Hello. Puppies do sleep a lot. As long as Sky has periods of activity & is eating well, at least 3 times a day, & has regular eliminations, no diarrhea, then he is not probably overtly ill. But if he is suddenly acting sleepy when he was a more active pup, then this is not normal & he probably needs to be evaluated by your veterinarian.     Yes! Just like a human baby, puppies do nap and sleep a lot. As long as your puppy plays when he is awake, and seems bright and happy, is eating and drinking normally, and isn't having any vomiting or diarrhea, sneezing or coughing, sleeping a lot is just fine!
