My dog's hotspot spread rapidly after a bath. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 10 months and 28 days old | 55 lbs

My Groomer said my dog has a hotspot. She gave him a good bath and the next day it had spreaded all over half of his face, down his neck and its at his chest. Does this look like a hotspot?

Yes, it looks like he has a skin infection/hot spot. He needs an oral antibiotic and possibly a corticosteroid to help treat the infection and inflammation. Schedule an appointment with a vet for treatment.
