Can my dog catch corona virus?

We are still in the process of learning about the new human coronavirus, but at this point, no, there is no indication that our pets can catch and carry the virus. Dogs and cats have their own strains of coronavirus that have been around for decades, but are unrelated to the novel human strain COVID-19.

    No, at the moment there are no evidences of it; BVA (british veterinary association) published some guidelines about it, which indicates that dogs and cats can be unfortunately passive vectors of the disease if they live in close contact with an infected owner. https://www.bva.co.uk/news-and-blog/news-article/coronavirus-disease-covid-19-updates-for-the-veterinary-profession/
