Is it normal for my dog to not use his leg long after patella surgery?

Pet's info: Dog | Shihpoo | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 12 lbs

My dog got a luxating patella surgery a couple of months ago Is it normal for him to still not use his leg at all

Poor Saif! Good mobility and function would normally be expected by 4-6weeks after surgery. I recommend a full check up by the operating vet and possibly recommendations for or referral to physical therapy to try and rebuild strength as long as no focus of pain or breakdown is discovered during his check up
