My dog has a white ball far back in her mouth, no teeth. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier

My dog has a weird white ball in her mouth. It’s pretty far back and is hidden by her tongue. She doesn’t have teeth. They were removed last year around October. Is this an urgent matter? What should I do?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Lily. Is it a piece of food, hair or some other material that got trapped in the back of her mouth? If not, them I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. She could have an infection or a mass in her mouth. If she is eating, drinking and acting normal, then it is likely not an emergency. I hope this information helps!
