My dog has frequent watery diarrhea and vomiting. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 30 lbs

My dog woke me up at 3am to go out and had lots of watery diarrhea. She had some more this morning at 8am. Is this worth a vet visit? Any other actions I should take? Other info: she vomited bile on Wednesday morning, and she is on Gabapentin for anxiety.

That's hard to know if she needs a veterinary visit. Certainly a visit could provide some medication which may slow down the diarrhea. Here is a link about diarrhea: https://www.petcoach.co/article/diarrhea-in-dogs/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/most-common-causes-of-diarrhea-in-dogs/ Have Ellie examined if needed. I hope this helps.
