How to manage dog zoomies on leash walks, especially on busy streets?

My dog will randomly get the zoomies on leashed walks, often with no warning but especially when we’re crossing busy streets. She does not care if I turn my back on her or if I scold her. Any advice? Consider walking her in a quieter area away from traffic if possible. The noise/activity may spook her at times. A head harness, such as the Gentle Leader or Halti, will provide additional control on walks.
