Why is my senior dog's red, swollen eye getting worse and worse?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 10 lbs

14 year old about a year ago he started getting a red eye the vet said it was his teeth had removed still the swelling got worst took him to several other vets no one knows what it is one said maybe a cyst but nothing concrete eye specialist said he had no clue please help! He doesn’t seem like in any pain but honestly painful for me to look at !

I doubt this is a cyst. I would be very worried it is a cancer. I can't believe a veterinary ophthalmologist (specialist) said they have no clue. Didn't anyone recommend removing it and sending it for a histopathology? That is what I would do. It may not be bothering him currently but it may continue to grow and cause problems or if it is a cancer the longer it is there the better chance it has to spread. I would have it removed.
