My puppy had Parvo, what's a balanced diet for a hungry 2-month-old?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cane Corso | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 3 days old | 11 lbs

Hi, I brought 45 days puppy of Cane Corso . After I brought it , he got infected with Parvo but thank God he recovered after a week treatment. Now he is 2 months old. I have been slow in feeding him after parvo and still taking precaution not to over feed him but he looks hungry all the time. I am looking for a balanced diet I should give him. Currently I am giving 6 small meals of Royal Canin Giant Starter , Egg , Puppy Cerelac , Cottage Cheese , Papaya , Banana and Yogurt. I am veg.

The Royal Canin Giant Starter is a balanced diet on it's own. You do not need to, nor should you, feed anything else. Fruits are not good - too high in sugar. The egg and cottage cheese are probably fine but really not necessary. I understand you may be vegetarian but please understand that dogs are not and they need meat in order to survive. My recommendation is to only feed the Royal Canin. He doesn't appear to be too thin in the photos.
