My kitten has a subtle rash or bump on her cheek. What could it be?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Pearl. I see what you mean. It could be she injured her cheek, as I see some scabs. It could also be a skin infection. Without seeing her in person, I cannot diagnose exactly what is going on. I'd have her seen by a vet to have this diagnosed and treated. Best of luck.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is possibly due to allergies. It really comes down to figuring out what is causing his allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. A secondary infection is likely and also needs to be addressed. This could also be mites and an exam and basic cytology would be needed to determine if that is possible. That is something that requires a visit to a veterinarian. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market). If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question. It looks like it could be from an injury if there is a scab on it. A scab means it's healing, so I would just keep an eye on it for now. If you see signs of infection, it gets bigger, it starts to bother her, or it doesn't appear to be healing, then have Fatina seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

Hi and thank you so much for your question on Boop by Petco! It is hard to say exactly what it may be sight unseen (can't get a good look or feel from the picture), I can certainly offer a few possibilities. It may be just a scab from playing rough or bumping into something. It also could be a small abscess from one of her vaccines she received previously-that sometimes can happen and is quite common. Another possibility would be a bite wound from another cat or a fungal or bacterial infection. If the lesion feels like little millet seeds, it could be a flea allergy (especially if she is not receiving a month to month flea preventative). If it gets worse or does not improve in a few days, I would bring her into her primary care veterinarian an exam and diagnostic testing. Best wishes to you and Biscuit!

Hello there, Thanks for the good photo. If it is a small minor wound like a pimple or scratch, it should be mostly healed within a week of forming. If its been present for longer than that or is worsening, I would be more concerned that it is the start of an infection or growth that would benefit from being seen by her veterinarian. hello my kitten is 2 months old i'm concerned about her because she has a little bump under her lips it's red but i don't think she's hurting from it should i be worried?
Chloe is adorable! I would recommend having your veterinarian examine the area next time Chloe goes in for her next kitten vaccination. We commonly see mild skin infections in kittens that can cause some redness, hair loss and swelling, but often have to do some skin cytology and look at a sample under the microscope to determine if the problem is bacterial, fungal or parasitic (such as mites). If the area is growing rapidly or appears to be bothering her, I would certainly recommend having it evaluated right away, but otherwise, I think you can just have you vet evaluate it at her next regular appointment and decide if it needs any treatment at that time. I found this in my kitten body, he's almost 10 weeks old
Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. From the images you have posted it appears to be a slightly raised patch of skin. This could be a bit of a skin tag or a wart, or could be a bit of a reaction to a bug bite. It could also be a bit of a scab. From the image it is hard to tell exactly. If the area is not painful, and Ghost is eating, drinking and playing normally, then just monitor the spot for now. If it goes away it is likely a bit or a scratch. If it gets worse (red, swollen, bigger, or has any discharge) then I would have it seen by a vet. I would also check your kitten for fleas in case this is a scab from scratching due to itchiness from fleas. Best of luck with Ghost!

Strange Mark on cheek should I take her to the vets
That looks like a possible pustule from the picture. In that location it could be a skin infection or possibly a tooth abscess. Of course a skin growth or tumor could be possibilities as well. It could be an area swollen from her hitting her chin on something or it could be an infection / pimple (acne). Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I think this is likely an unrelated issue and it does not have to do with the tail incident. I think this is likely a skin infection. This may be due to an underlying allergy. I highly recommend that you have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatments.
