Is Frontline Plus safe for 8-week-old puppies, and what about licking?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 26 days old | 5 lbs

I have 3 Labrador puppies in same age. 8 weeks old. Can I apply frontline plus tick preventive drop which I apply on their mother and father. I mean the one appropriate for their age. How long should I prevent puppies licking each other after applying. Is their any danger in apply frontline to puppies.

If the puppy is over 8 weeks of age and you use the correct dosage for their weight, it should be fine. I would keep an eye on them until the application spot is dry just in case they are curious and try to lick.
