My kitten ate tuna and has diarrhea with a swollen bum. Is it serious?

Hi I recently got a kitten around 6 to 8 weeks old and I fed him a can of tuna in oil, a few hours later he used the litter and I noticed that his bum was swollen and his fur was dirty and smelly. This has never happened before, he's a very clean kitten so I'm assuming the he had a touch of diarrhea. he only went once but I'm concerned with the swollen bum. he's still playful and acting normally but I want to make sure that it's nothing too serious.

Yes, suddenly changing food can cause diarrhea, and if the diarrhea caused a lot of irritation, it could cause redness or swelling. Keeping the area clean with a pet/baby wipe and returning Quinn back to his normal food is best. If the diarrhea continues for more than a few days, he seems in distress, the swelling is really bad or he can't go potty at all, vet care is best.
