My chihuahua has a painful underarm rash. What can I give him?

Hi my chihuahua has a rash under his arm that is causing him pain it just appeared yesterday. I know it looks like a simple rug rash but it is making him super up set. I can’t get him to eat or move ( I have had to Carry him around all day). Is there something I can give him to make him feel better. Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 3 years and 5 months old | 11 lbs
