Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 2.5 lbs
My teacup yorkie is on the urinary diet, but stopped eating the food. The vet put her on it for 3 months, she's been on it for a month. I've tried mixing in a bit of her regular dog food just to give it the flavor she's used to, but she won't eat it. I've tried giving her her regular food by itself, she won't eat it. I've tried her dog kibble, she won't eat it. Today I gave her some rotisserie chicken chopped up very fine and she inhaled it. Please help!!

The most common cause for a pet not to eat their food is illness. If she ate her non-urinary diet well before and now she suddenly won't eat it, that's suspicious. I recommend to call your veterinarian and have her examined. It also sounds like she needs to eat the urinary diet for her health. These diets often come in canned and dried formula. You may also try switching the brand of urinary food. I hope this helps and they figure it out quickly.
