2 of our 6 mo old pups got parvo, one died, one recovered. just found out the mom is pregnant and due in about a month. can her pups be born with parvo? can we treat before birth?

The can get parvo if she has never been vaccinated or if she is actively infected. They cannot be treated before birth. Clean and sanitize the whelping area. You can use household bleach and water (3/4 cup bleach to 1 gallon of water) on hard, non-porous surfaces. Allow for a 15 minute wet contact time. Remove all fecal matter first. Wash all bedding in the hottest water allowable or simply discard any contaminated bedding. If mom has been vaccinated, there will be a certain amount of maternal antibody protection.
