My rabbit has a red fur patch. Could it be sore hocks? What helps?

Hello! My rabbit has a missing patch of fur about the size of a square centimeter where the skin is red. I’m thinking it might be sore hocks, but very mild since there isn’t any open wound or liquid coming out. She doesn’t seem like it hurts when I touch it. This has been staying pretty much the same for a couple weeks, and I’ve tried normal Neosporin, BagBalm, and Vetricyn, but I haven’t seen any improvement yet (but it’s not getting worse). Is there anything I should do?

Thanks for reaching out about Lola and including a photo. This does appear to be sore hocks. Do not use Neosporin as if ingested can seriously affect the normal gastrointestinal flora. If is tender, try pure aloe vera. Good anti-effective and anti-inflammatory effects and okay if ingested. If seems painful, a veterinary visit is recommended. Review substrates to provide more cushioning. Good luck.
