Why is my hamster losing weight but still eating? Does he have worms?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 7 months old

I'm unsure if my hamster has worms. He looks skinnier, but he still has the same appetite and energy levels. How can I tell if has worms or not?

Thanks for reaching out about Biscuit and including photos. Intestinal parasites can be checked through a fecal examination at the veterinary office. Renal disease, endocrine disorders and other conditions can lead to weight loss. A veterinary visit is highly recommended before the weight loss gets worse. Good luck.
