Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 7 months old | 14 lbs
I was told today by the vet that My 3year old chwinnie has parvo. They sent me home with meds and Saline to give if she gets dehydrated. I’ve been forcing her to drink pedialyte with a dropper. How much and how often should I give her this to keep her hydrated

Ten ounces of water per every 10 pounds of body weight per day is about average. So at 14 pounds she would need about 14 ounces of water per day to stay hydrated. This should be broken up into very small amounts throughout the day. If you are giving Pedialyte you should dilute it 1/2 and 1/2 with water. Pedialyte is not balanced electrolytes for dogs and it is has a lot of synthetic sweeteners in it which are not good. Plain water is fine to give.
