Why does my dog hack and gag when he moves, barks, or jumps?

Ever since last night my dog has been hacking/gagging/ coughing every time he moves, barks, or jumps. He breathes fine but when he hacks he looks like he’s in pain. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 63 lbs

Hi, it could be that Benson has kennel cough and it is something he will overcome with time and supportive care like making sure he is comfortable, warm and eating smalla mount of food little and often. He might also benefit of some antiflammatories. However to be sure that Benson has kennel cough, I would ring your vet and have him checked over.
