Hi. My dog, Max was laying down on our hardwood floors and when he got up there was a white powder, which did not appear to be dandruff, it was slimy almost. He layed in two or three other spots and the same thing happened. We immediately gave him a bath with tick and flea shampoo, which he has used before and has never had a reaction. He also has A LOT of gas, he has threw up twice. We have a three-story house and searched every corner, nothing he could have gotten into. Please help. thank you.

Poor guy. This is mysterious indeed. It isn't clear where this white powder could have come from or what it was based on this description. Also the fact that he threw up suggests that perhaps he did ingest something that you are not aware of. White powder does suggest that this may have been the source of toxin he ingested, which could be a chemical or even the inside of some kind of medication. If he continues to vomit, then I would suggest taking him in to your vet for proper treatment. If he did ingest something he will need to get detoxed and some bloodwork ran to see if any of his internal organs were affected. I do hope that your fur baby Max is going to be ok moving forward. Best of luck and take care.
