Why is my hand-tamed parrot suddenly biting and aggressive?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Parrot | Male | unneutered

My parrot was already hand tamed when i bought him and he was all sweet and all. But then he started biting my brother which i checked was normal he was attached to me but lately he has been getting more and more violent with me too and i dont know why. So how do i fix this? Do i have to retrain him? Or is it unfixable cause i dont want to cage him.?

Thanks for reaching out and including photos. Training birds can be difficult, especially as they reach sexual maturity. Continue with the training process and establish a dominance hierarchy with you primary. A book titled "A Guide to a Well Behaved Parrot" is a good start. Good luck.
