My dog has allergies, vet suggests pricey Royal Canin. Any alternatives?

royal canin is a bit expensive. however since my dog has alergies the vet wants my ddog to only be on this food. iw ent through the ingriedients and well i dont know what to think. Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 3 years and 8 months old | 67 lbs
