My unvaccinated dog was exposed to parvo. Booster or full shots?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 2 years old | 90 lbs

I just found out that my neighbor's dogs are sick with parvo. My two year old dog has not had shots since puppyhood, his shot record is unfortunately incomplete. How many series of shots should he have at this point? Do I just do a booster? Or should I have his titer count checked? I'm really scared. The dogs are separated but I know their female has come into my yard, and her and her puppies are the ones that are sick. One has died.

At this point, Abraxas isn't protected, and would need two vaccinations, 3-4 weeks apart to be protected. The best you can do is keep them completely separated and make sure to change clothes and wash hands if you go next door.
