Is it safe to give calming supplements when my dog is already on Gabapentin? She takes 100mg Gabapentin for anxiety every 12 hours. She still gets very stressed when I leave and barks, howls, and scratches. Is it safe to combine with calming chews with ingredients like 100 mg Chamomile, 50 mg Thiamine Mononitrate, 50 mg Passion Flower, 50 mg Ginger, 30 mg L-Tryptophan, 20 mcg Melatonin? Or is there another safe calming chew you’d recommend? Pheromones have not worked. Ideally to be taken daily. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 30 lbs

It is a medication used for pain and seizures. It has a mild to moderate sedative effect that wears off the longer it is given. Ellie would be better off on a medication that is truly used for anxiety, like an SSRI used in humans.
