Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Male | neutered | 2 years and 11 months old
My Maltese dog can’t open his eye, and when he opens it, a white sticky discharge comes out of his eye. What can I do at home without going to the vet. Thank you

Hi, and thanks for your question. That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a trauma or infection. Unfortunately not much can be done at home. A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well.
