My dog has thread stuck after pooping. Is the leftover thread dangerous?

After Nugget pooped, she would stand still & not move at all so I went to check on her & found out that a little bit of poop was hanging on her anal. So I tried to clean the poop & I found like a really thin plasticky thread stuck in her anal. I tried to pull it out but every time I tried to pull she would tighten her anal so it wouldn't pull out all the way so I just cut the thread. So the thread is still stuck in the anal. Is she going to be ok? Is the leftover thread going to cause problem? Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | spayed | 7 years and 5 months old | 21 lbs

You did the right thing by cutting the thread. NEVER pull on a string or thread like that. If it is threaded back through her intestines it can cut through. Because this may be the case, I would get her checked by your vet as soon as possible, especially if she starts showing signs of sickness, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, etc.
