Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | spayed | 6 years and 10 months old | 66 lbs
I have a 7 year old female Doberman who recently started crying out in pain after jumping up in happiness to greet a family member. It happened one other time before about a week ago, I let her out to potty in the backyard when I heard her bark in pain, I walked out, carefully looked and felt all her paws, legs, and body and couldn’t find anything. She did it again that same day after walking around in the house after I let her in. I thought she might have pulled a muscle but now I’m concerned

Have her physically examined by your veterinarian. An orthopedic exam and x-rays may provide a diagnosis. Arthritis, joint disease or disc disease may be potential causes. In the meantime, restrict activity to just leash walks for elimination. Consider using a harness instead of a collar to prevent stress on her neck.
