how to take care of a baby hummingbird. it got swept away from its nest during a storm and the nest is destroyed. he/she has been in my care for 2 days now. need urgent help. Pet's info: Bird | Hummingbird | Male | 2 days old

Thanks for reaching out about Bebe and including a photo. Great job with the rescue but you should reach out to a wildlife rehabilitation center for further care. Sugar water is not sufficient to maintain long term, as amino acid solution, nectars are necessary for growth. Socializing with other hummingbirds is also necessary for survival in the wild. For now, heat support, oral liquids and sugar water can help. Good luck.
