Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed
my cat is 16 years old the past couple of days she is eating very little , she is still drinking, using the letter box but we did try her with different food /treats is there anything you can suggest

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Princess. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. Cats typically hide signs of illness well. So when there is a decrease in appetite, this is significant. She will be examined and will likely need laboratory work to help diagnose her problem. Kidney disease, thyroid disorders, pancreatitis and diabetes are commonly seen in older cats. I hope this information helps!

Since Princess is an older cat I would suggest getting some blood work performed to check her kidney values, make sure she is not diabetic or hyperthyroid. These are some diseases that older cats can get. I would also talk to your veterinarian about an appetite stimulant to help her want to eat.
