Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Male | neutered | 9 years and 2 months old | 10 lbs
My Chihuahua keeps licking his right front paw. He's removing patches of hair and his paw is getting really red and irritated. He's not doing this with his other paws and he's been on an allergy med from our vet for a couple weeks. He also has a hard, growth on his left side below his ribs that started in January, went away, just recently came back and is already getting smaller again. He's not lethargic or acting differently.

Dodger should go see the vet. The chewing on the paw indicates infection, something stuck under the skin, or even a small fracture. The vet can also examine the lump you have found. A mass that gets bigger and small and bigger and smaller could be caused by a mast cell tumor.
