Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered
Found out November last year my Tora is about 11-12 years old. As went go get a microchip done but had one that got done in 2008. Anyway, noticing he looks thin, but when I hold him feels fine. Last few weeks only been eating at night or late afternoon as goes out in morning around 5. Cos of the hot weather. He's side's looked sucked in and I've always felt his spine. Vet last year said looks fine except teeth which I brush. Tried getting photos. Is he underweight?

Tori does look a little thin. It is very common for the physical exam to normal but there is no way the vet can tell what is going on inside with the function of the internal organs. So, if lab work was not done, I suggest that as the next step. Cats, as they age, typically get one of three diseases: 1. kidney disease, 2. hyperthyroidism and 3. diabetes. All of which can cause weight loss and all of which can be easily detected with simple blood testing.
