Should my dog continue antibiotics for a lingering skin infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 3 months old

As he had skin bacterial skin infection earlier all over his abdomen and testicle with redness so vet prescribed antibiotics augmentin and terbinafine twice a day for 11 days and today the course is completed. He improved a lot but still has little bit on his testicle as shown in attach photo So shall I call vet and continue the antibiotics or this can be cured with topical cream and antifungal powder What do you suggest does he need antibiotics? If yes then for how many days more ?

I would continue the antibiotic for few more days (3-4) and keep the area clean. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking (if any).
