My chameleon can't move its back legs after getting stuck. Is it hurt?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Reptile | Chameleon | Male | 1lb

My young veiled chameleon can’t use his back legs. He had his front hands stuck in the adhesive side of his thermostat that must have fallen off his cage when he tried to climb on it. I saw he was stuck on it so I pulled his little hands off the adhesive and he did not like that one bit. Ever since he was stressed out from that he hasn’t been able to move his back legs. It’s been 3 days now Since his accident with the thermostat

Thanks for reaching out about Charlie. Concerns would be a spinal or back injury, possibly while struggling. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic treatment plan. Back injuries are more likely to respond to treatments earlier than later. Remove perches and provide a comfortable surface on which to lie, such as clean towels. Good luck.
