My new snake isn't eating, has cloudy eyes, and wheezes. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Reptile | Boa Constrictor | 40 lbs

Hi! I just purchased a snake from this lady who holds reptile shows. She informed me the snake was treated for mites. Recently I’ve taken him home(5 days) and he hasn’t been wanting to eat. His eyes are a cloudy blueish color but it’s been like that for a roughly 8 days that I know of. She informed me he was shedding and I set up his enclosure with appropriate temperatures. She also told me he has a breathing problem. I’m concerned, He wheezes loudly, sounds like a whistle. Any advice?

Bowie looks as if he is going into a shed. If you're saying he has recently shed, the blue eyes may indicate infection or other condition. The wheezing is concerning since it may indicate a respiratory infection (RI). Ideally, Bowie should be physically examined by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating reptiles. If a RI is diagnosed, antibiotics can be administered or dispensed.
