What is this hard mass on my Maltipom's leg near her floating kneecap?

My 9 year old Maltipom mix has floating kneecap in her hind right leg. I just noticed a small hard mass on top of her inside right ind leg. She is healthy and goes to all vet visits, is this a product of her floating kneecap? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 9 years old | 12 lbs

It is difficult for me to say without examining her myself. I doubt the mass is related to the knee cap. If it was the knee cap, that would mean it is out of place and she would not be able to put the leg down. I think you should have your vet check this mass.
