My dog's epilepsy medication isn't working. What are my options?

My 6yr dog was healthy until 10/19 then he had three fits in 24hrs . had blood test all clear a MRI showed epilepsy + cm/sm put him on epiphen 2mths without fit then started having them about once a week so added potassium bromide. Then 1 night he was crying and yelping in pain. Took to the vets, checked him not a yelp out of him , added gabapentin .. But only went 3wks without fit &then another 5dys later. They now want to add Keppra all he does is sleep now. Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | unneutered

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to Oscar. You may want to ask about a referral to a specialist who may better be able to manage Oscar. You may also ask about weaning off of one of those medications. You may also ask about Zonisamide. There is a diet which may also help made by Purina ProPlan called Neuro Care (it probably won;t make or break but it can't help). I hope this helps.
