My dog's epilepsy medication isn't working. What are my options?

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | unneutered

My 6yr dog was healthy until 10/19 then he had three fits in 24hrs . had blood test all clear a MRI showed epilepsy + cm/sm put him on epiphen 2mths without fit then started having them about once a week so added potassium bromide. Then 1 night he was crying and yelping in pain. Took to the vets, checked him not a yelp out of him , added gabapentin .. But only went 3wks without fit &then another 5dys later. They now want to add Keppra all he does is sleep now

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to Oscar. You may want to ask about a referral to a specialist who may better be able to manage Oscar. You may also ask about weaning off of one of those medications. You may also ask about Zonisamide. There is a diet which may also help made by Purina ProPlan called Neuro Care (it probably won;t make or break but it can't help). I hope this helps.
